Here is a story which I find a little amusing.

Hailu Kidane Marian was working with his fellow religious group members, selling religious materials door-to-door. His group had just come over from Puerto Rico to South Florida to raise money for his religious education.

His group went tried their luck in a Northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood. As they were walking down the street, witness Maria Martinez said, “I heard a boom, and I looked and the guy jumped back, and he just laid there, stiff”.

Hailu Marian had just been struck down by lightening on a clear, blue day!

When the paramedics arrived, Hailu was not breathing and his heart was not beating. However, they managed to revive him and rushed him to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

“He’s unconscious, he’s in a coma,” said Francisco Perez, leader of the Puerto Rico-based group. “It’s difficult what happened, you know, but what can we do? Things happen in life, but we still believe in God.”

The group remained at the hospital all night, waiting for word on his condition. According to the hospital, he remains in critical condition.

This is not the first time this has happened in south Florida. Last month a gardener was killed when he too was struck by lightening on a seemingly clear day. Two co-workers standing nearby were uninjured.

It makes you wonder if God somehow disapproved of his activities!
