This was posted today on the Above Top Secret Forum The questions raised are certainly valid.

Something i have been pondering a bit lately. As i read MUFON and NUFORC case reports frequently and as much as possible one thing stands out, or should i say does not. That is the drought of classic flying saucers or disc shape craft. Usually we see orbs or spheres, unexplained lights and yes triangles. Once in a while a disc like craft but unlike the waves in the 1950′s, 1960′s and 1970′s. There seems to be a connection to the abduction phenomena along with the saucer trend. Many abduction cases describe a saucer almost all of them. Since what appears to be a drastic decrease in abductions since the mid 1990′s the saucers have gone as well almost.

Is there a change in the design of these craft ?

Are different alien races coming and going with different makes of craft ?

Did our black programs drive them off or did another alien race kick them out?

Were they man made all along and the design is now considered obsolete?

Was it all a series of hoaxes and influenced by popular belief with movies and TV of that era?

These are the questions i keep asking myself. Where did they go? Of course they did not all leave there are still reports now and then. But i have seen weeks and months go by and no reports of disc shape craft. I was wondering what your take on this is?

What started out as a father-son business trip through Michigan’s remote Keweenaw Peninsula turned into a frightening encounter with strange lights and eventually missing time on August 18, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The man and his 16-year-old son were in the northern-most portion of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula – a sparsely populated area – and 20 miles off of Highway 41 at 8:07 p.m. when they saw the first orange light in the sky.

As the object moved in a slow and irregular pattern, the two became nervous, but they finally reached Highway 41 and drove south.

The orange light returned.

“It was very large now, and the color was very intense,” the father reported. “Both the light and Jupiter were visible. The light began to move close to the horizon, and seemed to be following the terrain.”

Again, they became nervous over what they were seeing.

When they arrived in Bruce Crossing, they pulled over at a small truck stop as a bathroom break, and asked if anyone had seen anything unusual. One trucker had seen something.

The man told them he had seen “a large orange ball to the east.”

They then turned westbound on Highway 28, and a few minutes into the ride, the son looked behind them.

Phil Plait, from Blogs.discovermagazine.com, posted an article today explaining why Astronomers, the people who spend their days looking up at the stars, don’t ever report seeing UFOs. Although it’s a good question, I found the answer to be insulting and narrow-minded. Yes, yes I know that there are those people who can confuse the Moon or an airplane for an alien spacecraft, but what about those of us who have seen strange lights being chased off by incoming jets?

When I was a kid in the 80s, we lived in Orange County (Garden Grove, CA). One evening, as my siblings and I were helping our mother unload groceries from the car, my sister yelled “What’s that?” and pointed up. I kid you not; we all stood there watching this upright triangle object with a multicolor light emanating from it, float through the horizon. A few seconds later, two military jets appeared (from the south?) and the triangular object quickly changed course and took a very fast acceleration upwards into the clouds. And just like that, it vanished. We stood there watching the jets, slowly climb up in altitude. Nowhere near the speed in which the object did. The truth of the matter is that astronomers spend their time looking at fixated objects thousands of miles away. We (earthly citizens) occasionally glance upwards and can only see a few miles up. If there are other lifeforms visiting us, they would be observing closely to the Earth’s surface. Way out of the sight of an astronomer’s telescope.

Contrary to what Mr. Plait’s article states, there have been plenty of reports given to MUFON from amateur and professional astronomers. Checking the MUFON database, there are several listed. One that stands out occurred last October. MUFON case # 20,023. This occurred in Oklahoma.

No one knows where this diamond shaped UFO was filmed or who filmed it but the UFO event seen in in the video below is believed to have taken place in the last two months. The clip is doing the rounds of the Internet at the moment and confounding researchers and UFO enthusiasts alike. The craft seen in the video appears to be emitting some type of red matter.

Recently a number of high profile organizations and individuals have come forward and let weight to the belief that UFOs are indeed visiting Earth and might well be the vehicles of extraterrestrial beings.

Renown American theoretical physicist Michio Kaku recently noted that he believes there is good chance a small percentage of UFO sightings might well be of craft of ET/alien origin.
