Two missionaries with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were disconcerted to find what they suspect are sasquatch footprints outside of their Burns Lake home.

Tyler Beck and Brad Blazzard initially thought that someone was playing a prank on them, but as the house is so isolated and they don’t know of anyone who would do such a thing.

The footprints are about 20 inches long and started right outside Beck’s porch and continued down to where the pair keep a wood shed.

Beck claims that he was a skeptic … until now.

“I still don’t know what to think,” he told reporters. “I have heard some pretty ridiculous things about bigfoot but now I am leaning toward the edge of thinking it may be possible.”

The isolated house site in front of a lake and the pair say that theyhave seen a number of coyotes and woles, but never anything as strange as a bigfoot. Deespite this, there have been a number of reported sightings in the area over the summer.

Larry Sommerfield, a self-proclaimed sasquatch hunter from Terrace has a cast that he claims is a 16 inch sasquatch print. Although cryptic about the exact location where he got the print, he says that he found the footprint found in a gravel pit just east of the Kitselas First Nation’s subdivision east of Terrace on Highway 16.

Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO research is still trying to verify three sasquatch sightings in Moricetown.

An earlier sighting in the area made international news in late July. Delores Harrie claims that a creature tried to get into her home.

When she looked out at the side of her house, she saw a creature that was walking on two legs.

“It was huge and it had long hair, not fur — kind of like the kind you see on an ox and a reddish brown, the colour of the trees that are killed by the pine beetle,” said the woman. “And it moved so fast, by the time I opened my door it had run from the porch to the other side of the house.”

Her dogs chased the creature along a dried ravine and disappeared into a forest.

Following Harrie’s report, there was a report on Telkwa High Road and sightings in Campbell River.

something strange is definitely stalking around the area!
