Imp on a mushroomThe Municipality of Merlo, San Luis in Argentina, decided that a large 100-year-old Eucalyptus tree needed to be trimmed. The large branches often obstructed visibility for motorists and also caused a danger to the overhead light and telephone wires.

The trimming took some time and when traffic was restored to the road, dusk was falling. Locals driving through the area started reporting that they had seen “some little men coming out of the amputated tree and walking single file toward the library.”

One woman recalled that their clothing had a “brownish hue”. Cecillia de Gabrele, an employee at the library who fielded several phone calls at her workplace, added that for some years there had been reports of “imps” in that district, possibly due to the abundance of flora. Many people claim to have seen little people in-between the branches and the shadows. (more…)
